Loyola University Maryland Accounting Programs Ranked #1 in Maryland
The accounting program at Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management is ranked No. 1 in Maryland by
College Factual. The Sellinger School offers both a
Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a
Master of Accounting degree.
“Sellinger’s accounting degrees offer an expansive range of opportunities for graduates interested in business, government, industry and public accounting,” said Kathleen Getz, Ph.D., dean of the Sellinger School. “We’ve built a popular, widely respected accounting program at Sellinger, and we’re honored to be recognized as No. 1 in the state.”
Sellinger’s accounting program prepares students to become certified public accountants and certified management accountants as well as offers students opportunities to join accounting organizations and network with peers and alumni. The program is accredited by AACSB and The International Association for Management Education, the only agency that accredits accounting programs in the United States. Only 169 of thousands of programs around the world are accredited.
“We work closely with leaders in the business community to stay current with accounting industry trends and offer an updated, high-performing curriculum to students,” said Jalal Soroosh, Ph.D., chair of the accounting department. “Our students gain core, cutting-edge accounting skills that allow them to excel at a fast pace upon employment. Businesses locally and regionally have come to rely on our accounting students.”
