Information Systems and Data Analytics Major and Minor

Loyola offers a BBA in Information Systems and Data Analytics. Course sequencing is designed to fit into study abroad programs around the world in either the fall or spring semester. A general business minor with a concentration in information systems is also available.

IS students may take advantage of the Lattanze Center, an internationally-known center of excellence for issues pertaining to information systems. The Lattanze Center's close connection to the information systems faculty and students provides a valuable resource for internships, projects, and career entry.

Students may be elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Business Honor Society. Information systems students can also be elected to Alpha Iota Delta, the premier national honor society in decision sciences and information systems.

Information systems graduates are highly sought after by companies and government agencies of all sizes and types. Graduates can expect starting salaries above average and a fast career path. Positions include business analysts, database administrators, data communication, systems analyst, and telecommunications specialists. The Washington, D.C. to New York corridor has a heavy concentration of firms who use information systems to plan, coordinate, perform, and direct their activities. In particular, financial, bio-tech, healthcare, defense, and high-tech companies continually seek Loyola graduates.
