International Applicant Deadlines

International applicants seeking F-1 student visas may only be enrolled in full-time degree programs. In order to maintain a full-time status, students may be required to travel between Loyola's three campuses in Baltimore, Timonium, and Columbia. Public transportation is not available. International applicants must submit a complete application for admission (including all supplemental documentation) by the following deadline:

  • Fall Semester: April 1

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, familiarity with MS Office Suite at intermediate level
  • Professional work experience, typically two years. Prospective students with fewer than two years of work experience are encouraged to review their qualifications with an advisor at 410-617-5067 or mba@loyola.edu.
  • Facility in algebra and graphing of mathematical functions, graphic interpretation, and probability. Proficiency in these areas will be determined through recent college or graduate level credit (B or better in a single course) in finite mathematics, pre-calculus, or mathematical models for business. Proficiency may also be established through a score of 80 percent or better on the Math Proficiency Exam.
  • Strong potential for academic and professional success.

Applicants accepted for graduate study will be advised in writing. Individuals will also be informed of any required undergraduate courses or prerequisites. A program advisor will assist in planning your program of study. Students are responsible for discussing any special needs they may have with their advisor.

  • Applicants should select specialization area of interest when they apply
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Essay/personal statement

Test Scores

The following test scores should be submitted directly from the test administrator to Loyola (Loyola's institution code is 5370): Official English language examination scores are required for applicants who have not earned (or will not be earning) a bachelor's or higher degree from a college or university where English is the sole language of instruction. Transcripts

We strongly recommend that all applicants have their schools send us official e-transcripts if possible. If your school uses an automated transcript request service, select “Loyola University Maryland” as the receiving institution, and be sure to select “Graduate” or “Graduate Admission” as the receiving office. If your school does not use an automated transcript request service but will still send an official transcript on your behalf via email, have your school send your transcript to graduate@loyola.edu.

If your school is unable to provide electronic transcripts of any kind, your transcripts must be sent to us by mail in envelopes sealed by the school. Our mailing address can be found on the Graduate Admission webpage.

  • The admission committee reserves the right to request official transcripts from universities where an applicant attended but did not complete a degree. Please note that not submitting all transcripts where courses have been completed could impact course waivers and advanced standing.
  • All foreign transcripts must be translated and evaluated by an approved international academic record evaluation service. Visit the International Academic Records page for a list of approved services.
  • International applicants must also complete additional requirements. Please visit the Graduate Admission for International Students page.

Questions about the application or admission process may be directed to the Office of Graduate Business Programs at (410) 617-5067 or via email at mba@loyola.edu.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that a completed application and all supplemental materials are received by the application deadline. Supplemental materials, once received, become the property of Loyola University Maryland and cannot be returned.
