I am proud to welcome you to a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners, all dedicated to creating life-changing opportunities through education. Educators have a direct influence in helping improve children’s lives. I hope that in accepting admission you can join us in building an equitable education system for all learners. Our job is to help you grow as a responsive , culturally relevant, and antiracist educator — creating new possibilities for yourself, the School, and the communities we serve.
At Loyola University Maryland, we take very seriously our commitment to cura personalis, caring for the whole person. In joining the School of Education, you will be supported as part of our diverse community of learners. Faculty advisors will work closely with you to ensure that the courses you take, research you conduct, and future employment opportunities not only align with your individual goals, but help you become a change agent in your school and greater community. Formal and informal advising may occur in faculty office hours, during a field-based course, or via collaborative research. Regardless, the focus remains on supporting and challenging you to get the most out of your education at Loyola.
I look forward to working together to drive education forward.
