Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Program
This loan allows all students regardless of federal financial aid eligibility and who are enrolled for at least 6 credits per term (Fall and Spring) or 3 credits (Summer) to borrow up to $20,500 per academic grade level. Learn more about the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Program.
Maryland State Scholarships
To be considered for a Maryland state scholarship you must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) no later than March 1.
Federal TEACH Grant Program
Current legislation has identified the following as meeting the definition of a high-need subject area for the TEACH grant program: Bilingual Education and English Language Acquisition; Foreign Language; Mathematics; Reading Specialist; Science; and Special Education.
*Teaching English Language Learners Certificate is not considered an eligible program for the TEACH grant.

Students in the off-campus programs at Loyola University Maryland can choose from a variety of payment options, including financial aid, an interest-free payment plan through Tuition Management Systems, or a combination of these options.
Make a Full Payment
Payments for tuition and fees are due within 10 days of registering for courses. There are various payment options available. Please view the site for information on the new payment plan process. All debit/credit card payments must be made online via Loyola Self-Service and will incur 2.4% (minimum $0.25) convenience fee. E-Check payments are offered at no cost via Loyola Self-Service. To make payments, visit Loyola Self-Service and log in, select Student Finance, then Make a Payment.
Enroll in a Payment Plan
Loyola University Maryland offers payment plans through Tuition Management Systems (TMS). A payment plan allows you to make monthly payments, interest free, in order to spread your tuition payments over a period of several months.
- To enroll in a payment plan via Self Service. In the “Payment Plans” box, select the appropriate academic year and Loyola University Maryland Graduate from the drop-down menu provided. Click “Enroll.” Students enrolling in the fall term will have the option to break their tuition bill for the first semester of coursework into 4 monthly payments due August 15 through November 15. Students enrolling in the spring term can break up tuition into 4 monthly payments due December 15 through March 15. TMS offers a 3 month payment plan for the summer beginning May 15 through July 15. Please note, graduate payment plan have an enrollment fee of $40 per semester and it's due at the time of enrollment into the payment plan.
- Enter the Amount you want to Budget with TMS and your Personal Information. Students have the option of budgeting the entire balance due to Loyola through the payment plan. They can also pay a portion of the amount due directly to Loyola and break up the remaining balance into the 4-month or 3-month payment plan (depending on the semester you are enrolling). Please note, graduate payment plans have an enrollment fee of $40 per semester and it is due at the time of enrollment into the payment plan. Students have the option to receive monthly bills from TMS either in the mail or with an e-bill.

We will work with students who receive tuition reimbursement from their employers. Students are encouraged to contact their Human Resources to learn more about their tuition reimbursement. Most reimbursement policies require the student to pay Loyola in full prior to any eligibility for reimbursement. Loyola University Maryland does not participate in Direct Billing agreements for tuition reimbursement. We will provide a detailed receipt for the students to submit to their employer for reimbursement. Please email Deborah Donatelli at email@example.com.
