December 1st- December 12th: Twelve Days of Karson

The Karson Institute is hosting twelve days of stress-busting events as a "Countdown to Finals 2023." All events are free and open to all, but some require registration! Check the links below and check the Bridge - we look forward to seeing you there. 

Day 1 : 9:30am - 1pm Boulder Pop Up Teach In 4:30pm-5:30pm Stone Soup Series 

Day 2: 10am -12pm Santa Hat Giveaway

Day 3: 10am - 12pm Elf Hat Giveaway

Day 4: 3pm-5pm  Decorate an Ornament: Swing by the Karson and design a prayer ornament to help us decorate our new space.

Day 5: 10am- until Scavenger Hunt Day #1: Clues will be hidden around campus and the winners receive a Karson Swag Bag

Day 6: 10am-until Scavenger Hunt Day #2: more clues will be hidden around campus and the winners receive a Karson Super Swag Bag

Day 7: 3pm -5pm Christmas Coloring Pages: Did you know that coloring can help you be more mindful which will help you to focus and stay in the moment? Swing by the Karson to color, chat, and reduce some stress.

Day 8: 5pm - 7pm Karson Hot Karamel Cider & Cake Happy Hour: Join us at the Karson for some Hot Cider and Pound Cake as we release from a long week and head into the final push before Finals 2023.

Day 9: 10am – 12pm Itty Bitty Readers: The Karson Institute in conjunction with WEAA Today with Dr. Kaye will host The Itty Bitty Readers with a Christmas theme Story Time. Join us while we listen to stories, enjoy conversation, and eat snacks. For listeners under 12 y/o. All are welcome but registration is required. Event Brite Tickets

Day 10: 10am-12pm Christmas Stress Buster #1: Swing by the front desk of the LNDL and grab a Christmas Stress Ball to help reduce stress and get you ready for Finals 2023.

Day 11: 3pm – 5pm Christmas Stress Buster #2: Swing by the Karson and grab a Christmas Pop-It to help reduce stress and get you ready for Finals 2023

Day 12: 10am – 2am Karson Kram Day: It's Reading Day at Loyola and here at the Karson, we will help you get ready for Finals 2023 with activities/food/snacks every two hours.

10a- Koffee and Munchkins: Stop by the Karson and grab some coffee and a munchkin to get your study day going.

12p: Yoga Stretch Break: Meet us in Lab B in The LNDL for some light yoga stretches and relations exercises.

2p: Krispy Kreme Donuts: Meet us at The Learning Lobby in The LNDL for a quick sugar snack.

4p: Fresh Popcorn: Meet us at The Learning Lobby in The LNDL for some hot buttery popcorn.

6p: Caines Chicken & Hip Hop Fries: Stop by The Learning Lobby of The LNDL and grab some chicken and fries for a quick evening meal. Registration is required. Caine's Chicken Registration Link

8p: Make your own Hot Kocoa with Toppings: Swing by The Karson Institute and grab a cup of hot cocoa with all of the fixings.

2a: Energy Goodie Bags: As you head out of the Library, grab a goodie bag from The Learning Lobby in The LNDL that has a couple extra items to fuel your all-night study jam

 

January 13th 10am- 12pm: Itty Bitty Readers Meeting 

The Karson Institute in conjunction with WEAA Today with Dr. Kaye will host The Itty Bitty Readers with a Martin Luther King Jr Story Time. Join us while we listen to stories, enjoy conversation and eat snacks. For listeners 12 y/o and under. The meeting will be held in The Loyola Notre Dame Library 1st Floor Lab B, 200 Winston Ave, Baltimore MD 21212.

January 24th 9am-1pm: MLK Boulder Pop Up Teach In

Join Dr. Kaye and the Karson staff in Boulder Cafe' Atrium as we celebrate the birthday and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and countdown to the 7p MLK Convocation.
