Academic Affairs maintains a library of recent tenure dossiers as a resource for faculty in their probationary period. The library showcases a diversity of models that demonstrate a variety of strategies across disciplines for constructing a narrative and selecting evidence to support it. The dossier library is a tool of planning and reflection as part of career formation and growth, in conjunction with other faculty development, mentoring, and networking efforts.
Each year, Academic Affairs invites all recently tenured faculty to share their materials with tenure-track colleagues. Older materials are cycled out.
Accessing the Library
Tenure-track faculty may access the dossier library by visiting Academic Affairs in Jenkins Hall 120. Office staff will arrange for a private space to consult the materials. Materials remain on premises and should not be copied without permission of the author. Many dossiers are digital and so you may wish to bring your own laptop or you may use the AV equipment in Academic Affairs meeting spaces.
