What are Ignatian Learning Groups? 

Ignatian Learning Groups provide members of the Loyola community opportunities to engage with the life of St. Ignatius, the history of Jesuits, and Ignatian Spirituality.   

• Each group will consist of 8-12 people led by 2-3 facilitators.   
• Groups are open to all faculty, staff and administrators. 
• Groups will meet for one hour a week, in person or virtually, during March.  
• Meetings will involve discussion on the materials and the possible applications, challenges and hopes for living our Jesuit mission.   
• Electronic or hard copies of the book will be provided to each of the  participants.

• The Spiritual Work of Racial Justice:  A Month of Meditations with Ignatius of Loyola by Patrick Saint-Jean, S.J. 
• Led by Dr. Kaye Wise Whitehead and Fr. Tim Brown, S.J. 

Monday’s from 4-5 p.m. 

• A Call to Discernment in Troubled Times by: New Perspectives on the Transformative Wisdom of Ignatius of Loyola by Dean Brackley, S.J.
• Led by Dr. Carolyn Barry and Brian Oakes 

Tuesday’s from 1-2 p.m. 

• A Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything: A Spirituality for Real Life by James Martin, S.J.
• Led by Joe Bradley, Mary Beth Mudric & Scott McCabe 

Wednesday’s From 12-1 p.m. 

• Inner Compass: An Invitation to Ignatian Spirituality by Margaret Silf
• Led by Seán Bray 

Thursday’s from 12-1 p.m.  

• A Pilgrim’s Testament: The Memoirs of St. Ignatius of Loyola edited by Barton T. Geger, S.J.
• Led by Rita Buettner & Tracey Frey
