Undocumented and DACA Applicants
All students are welcome at Loyola
As a Jesuit, Catholic University, we are committed to valuing the dignity of every member of the University community. Loyola welcomes and supports applications from students of all ethnicities and nationalities regardless of their immigration status. Applications from undocumented students and students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status are invited and given the same consideration as any other Loyola applicant during the review process.
We proudly stand in solidarity with undocumented students and welcome you to explore the services, opportunities, and resources available to you.
Applying to Loyola
Undocumented and DACA students should follow the same application process as U.S. citizens or permanent residents. This applies for students coming directly from high school as well as students interested in transferring in from another undergraduate institution. We will consider all materials submitted during the application review process.
Please note that all information provided on the application is confidential. Therefore, undocumented students should feel comfortable providing as much information as possible on the application forms. Immigration status does not have an impact on the admission process.
Financial Aid & Merit Scholarships at Loyola
Loyola is pleased to offer both need-based financial aid and merit-based scholarships to undocumented and DACA students. Merit-based scholarships are awarded to academically qualified students based on the review of their application for admission. To learn more, please visit our scholarships page. Need-based awards are intended to supplement the amount that a student can pay in order to reach the full cost of attendance. To learn more about need-based financial aid, please visit our financial aid website.
If you, your parents, or college counselor have any questions about the admission process, please contact our office. Your Loyola admission counselor can answer questions about applying to Loyola as an undocumented or DACA student. To find out who your counselor is, visit our counselor page.
