What's your favorite thing about Loyola?

One of my favorite things about Loyola is its location within Baltimore. Loyola has a classic campus, one that when you walk onto it, it feels how a college should. There is an atmosphere of learning and excitement, however, only ten minutes away is downtown Baltimore, full of internship and job opportunities. Baltimore and Loyola share a unique partnership that is open and accessible to our students who want the benefits of a large city, with the personalization of college atmosphere.

What's your best piece of advice to a prospective student?

Remember to have fun, and that this process is about you. Deciding where to go to college for the next four years can be a stressful time in your life, mirrored with the excitement and anxiety of the next chapter. You should own the college search process—trust your gut and think about what drives you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or be honest with your search; you will be much happier somewhere if you enjoy the process and feel good about the diligence that you put into making your choice.

What's your favorite thing to do in Baltimore?

When it comes to things to do in Baltimore, there is not a shortage of options. If you are visiting during baseball season, catching a game at Camden Yards is a must for any sports fan. Baltimore is known for its quirky neighborhoods, so in the summer, head up to the Charmery for some amazing ice cream in Hampden, or visit Patterson Park and go for a nice walk. Baltimore is also a great outdoor town as well, so you can kayak in the Inner Harbor or ride your bike to Annapolis—the opportunities are endless.
