- Class of 2021
- Majors Biology and Chemistry
Jade’s love for math and science began in grade school and influenced her academic path—and her decision to attend Loyola. “I chose Loyola because of the sense of community I felt as soon as I stepped on campus,” says Jade, who participated in Loyola’s Pre-Health Programs through the Pre-Medical track. Beyond the classroom, Jade worked as a lab assistant in the biology lab, as a volunteer with the Don Miller House in Baltimore and for Soccer Without Borders, and participated in Relay For Life. Jade, who is also an Evergreen, says she hopes her fellow Greyhounds take advantage of all the resources available at Loyola. Her favorite thing about her experience is the family she’s gained through developing close friendships and relationships with faculty members. Jade graduated a semester early and enrolled in a master’s program in biomedical science at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in April; she plans to attend medical school after she finishes her M.S. next March.

What makes Loyola stand out among other schools is our sense of community. The community here is always working to improve, and Loyola does a great job at accommodating everyone’s needs.
