A current graduate student in Loyola’s Emerging Leaders MBA program, Emma has developed an appreciation for teamwork and aspires to one day own her interior design company or become a partner at a firm. “The inclusive environment here is compounded by the ELMBA’s commitment to cohort-focused education. By having a smaller group of peers to tackle assignments and projects with, not only do you gain the very real-world experience of teamwork, but you also develop close friendships.” Emma earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Miami University with honors in architecture. She was also selected out of 600,000 applicants as a Stamps Scholar, a scholarship awarded to recipients who demonstrate leadership skills and promise in their chosen field. Originally from Olney, Md., Emma has lived in many different states. She says Loyola feels like home. Classes with Elizabeth Kennedy, Ph.D., associate professor of law and social responsibility, have allowed her to find her own voice and helped her to understand various legal questions, which she knows will arise throughout her career. Her work as an exhibition coordinator has provided her with valuable project management experience. Emma believes her MBA from Loyola will make her more marketable in the design world.
