“I firmly believe that everyone who chooses Loyola shares a passion for personal growth, which is developed through rigorous academics, but also through the relationships that people create,” says Eleanor, a biology major with a minor in business administration in innovation and entrepreneurship. Eleanor is also on the Greyhounds women’s lacrosse team, where she has been a consistent point contributor and received awards through the Patriot League. The Fairfax Station, Va., native, is on the Pre-Med Track through Loyola’s Pre-Health Programs and a member of the Pre-Health Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, Loyola Greyhounds Leadership Academy. She serves as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Eleanor has ambitions of one day pursing a career in the medical field. Eleanor credits her academic experience at Loyola—including her involvement with Messina—with providing her the opportunity to take different courses where she can think critically, reflect, and write effectively.

From the small class sizes and student-to-faculty ratio here to the school spirit evident in the stands of sporting events, Loyola is a place that fosters personal relationships and encourages engagement within its community—which is something I absolutely love.
