T.J. Creamer

After graduating and receiving commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army through Loyola's ROTC program, Col. Timothy "T.J." Creamer spent seven years as an Army helicopter pilot. He later completed a master’s degree in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and went on to teach physics at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Assigned to NASA as a vehicle integration test engineer in 1995, he was accepted into the astronaut program in 1998, where he would prepare and train for the next ten years for his assignment as a mission specialist with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). In 2009, he embarked on a six-month mission to the International Space Station, where T.J. lived and worked as a flight engineer and NASA science officer.
