Refund Policies

When an official withdrawal is granted and has been properly approved, a refund of tuition is made according to the schedules below.  The date that determines the amount of refund is the date on which a written petition for official withdrawal from a course or courses is received by the department chair or appropriate administration.  See Course Withdrawal Policy for withdrawal deadlines.

Per Credit

For students enrolled in programs where tuition is paid on a per credit basis:

Fall/Spring Semesters
prior to completion of the first week                       100%
prior to completion of the second week                         80%
prior to completion of the third week                          60%
prior to completion of the fourth week                         40%
prior to completion of the fifth week                         20%
   
After five weeks of a semester, there will be no tuition refund.  
Summer Sessions
prior to completion of the first week 100%
prior to completion of the second week 60%
prior to completion of the third week   20%
   
After three weeks of a semester, there will be no tuition refund.  
Eight-week refund schedule (Applies to all Education and Sellinger eight-week courses)
prior to second meeting  100%
prior to third meeting  60%
prior to fourth meeting  20%
   
After the fourth meeting in a semester, there will be no tuition refund.  

Graduate Flat Rate

For students enrolled in programs with flat rate tuition and all Montessori students in full-time academic year programs.

Fall/Spring Semesters
prior to first meeting 100%
prior to second week of class 80%
prior to third week of class 60%
prior to fourth week of class  40%
prior to fifth week of class   20%
   
After five weeks of a semester, there will be no tuition refund.
