The Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) promotes the academic progress of undergraduate students in a variety of ways. The AASC supports the declaration of major, change of major, course registration, course withdrawal, and graduation clearance processes. AASC administrators:
- Facilitate the initial course registration of first-year and transfer students
- Serve as a resource for the core and major advisors who work with students throughout their undergraduate career
- Assist students with understanding degree requirements and university policies
- Develop and maintain degree audits for each student as a tool for course planning and selection
In addition, the AASC offers guidance to part-time and transfer students, students with learning disabilities, and students who are academically at risk. Administrators connect students with other campus resources as needed to encourage student success.
