Dr. Sara Magee specializes in emerging media as well as broadcast and backpack journalism. She uses a mix of hands-on experience, skills learning, and theory to teach students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels about the ethics and effective use of social media for communication, different types of sources in news stories, news content across global platforms, and issues of fan culture and society. Magee received her M.A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Ohio University.
